“Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according to thy word” (Psalm 119:9)
The greatest weakness of many people is that they have no clue as to how to keep themselves from doing what is wrong. Worse still, because of the widespread permissiveness in our modern word, many no longer Know Where to draw a line between what is right and what wrong. As a result, they stumbled through life, experiencing OBE disaster after another.
The writer of this psalm seems to be understandaby worried about how the world is engulfed in diverse kinds of evil and perversion. How possible is it then for anyone, especially vibrant and and inexperienced young people, to keep away from doing what is wrong? How can one withstand the pressure of selfish desires and societal demands? The answer Him with all your heart, and not to stray from Him. Hide His word in your heart and not allow Him to teach you daily as you read the Word. Learn to declare that Word to those who do not Know God and meditate daily on it.
The word of God in our hearts acts as a check on our lives. Being spirit andblife, the word of God ib our heats has greater influence than the temptations around us. It also has the poemwer to make us fulfill the destiny God had for our lives.
We should allow the word to be our guide and wisdom in all the actions we take in life. Morevthan that, we should allow it to restrict in our inner cravings and public conduct.
The best direction to eternal bliss is in the word!.
