The Nigerian music industry is so proud to have Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun aka Wizkid and Damini Ogulu better known as Burna Boy.
These two artistes have been doing their best to push Afrobeat music to the wider world on big stages. Within the past 12 months plus both Wizkid and Burna Boy have racked in several collaborations with foreign (international) music acts.
More so, both artistes are currently touring the world, city to city, and performing before very delighted and ecstatic fans.
Recently, Wizkid sold out the Skyway Theatre in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. He became the first African artiste to ever do it, following his feat, the Governor of Minnesota, Mark Dayton declared October 6 – WIZKID DAY. Before selling out the Skyway Theatre, Wizkid has sold out Royal Albert Hall and O2 Arena London. And it only gets bigger and better.
Meanwhile, Afrofusionist Burna Boy is currently on his Life On The Outside (LOTO) Tour. This comes after the successful release of his album ‘Outside’ which has enjoyed massive airplay and very good reviews, with hits like ‘Ye’, ‘Heaven’s Gate’, ‘Rock Your Body’ etc. Only last Saturday, Burna Boy took his tour to O2 Academy, Brixton. The show was epic as Burna Boy sold out. Fans seemed very happy for the experience and looked like they had much fun.
Just as both Wizkid and Burna Boy are raving, perhaps it happens that both music stars are holding a concert on the same day, which one are you attending?
